TURIN, Italy - May 7, 2008 - Critical Path, Inc., a leading provider of messaging software and services, today announced that FASTWEB, Italy's second-largest fixed telecommunications service provider, has deployed Memova(R) Messaging and Memova(R) Anti-Abuse to enrich and protect the user experience of its FASTMail email and address book services.

FASTWEB with its 1.25 million fixed network clients provides messaging services to residential, business and large corporate account users. Using Memova Messaging, FASTWEB has greatly improved the user experience of the FASTMail interface. Improvements include a new dashboard enabling users to view a snapshot of the status of their email box, fax inbox and contacts in their address book. From the dashboard, users can then easily create or read email and fax messages as well as add new contacts to their address books. Changes have also been made to the layout of the email box to provide better organization and navigation.

In addition to enhancements to the look and feel of FASTMail, FASTWEB has also taken steps to make the FASTMail experience safer through the deployment of Memova Anti-Abuse. With Memova Anti-Abuse, FASTMail users have increased protection against spam, viruses and phishing attacks on their email accounts.

"Email continues to be a mission critical service for consumers and business users alike. It is important for us to provide an experience, that is not only attractive but is also safe from spam, viruses, phishing and other malicious attacks," said, Ernesto Bellisari VAS Manager, FASTWEB, "Memova Messaging and Anti-Abuse provides us with a solution that is flexible, scalable and cost effective enabling us to quickly deliver a high quality experience to satisfy all of our customers."

"Enriching the consumer experience and helping service providers build customer loyalty and drive revenue is what Memova solutions are all about," said Renato Miletti, Vice President, Southern EMEA, Critical Path. "Memova Messaging provides the industry's broadest range of advanced messaging services in a single platform and prepares service providers for the next generation of messaging."

FASTWEB has also deployed Memova Messaging's Universal Contacts solution as the foundation for other advanced messaging services including voicemail, unified messaging and VoIP. In 2008 FASTWEB will launch quadruple-play service by adding mobile telephony service to their current voice, data and video offerings. High-speed Internet access, email, voicemail and other value-added services will also be available on the mobile device and Critical Path will continue to help Fastweb lead the market by developing new services for their consumers and business users through the Memova Messaging and Memova Mobile solutions offerings.
