3 is a leading mobile brand operated by Hutchison Telecommunications Hong Kong Holdings Limited and is a member of Hutchison Whampoa Group.

3 launched one of the first mobile telecommunications networks in Hong Kong in 1983 and over the next 20 plus years built one of the largest and most successful 2G and 3G mobile networks in Hong Kong which is one of the most competitive mobile markets in the world.

They were the first to launch 3G network in the region and cover over 99.9% of the territory. It is currently the largest 3G operator in the market, offering high speed mobile data services via its HSDPA network.

Based on the most sophisticated wireless technology available, their 3G services include mobile TV, streaming / downloading of music and video clips and access to a wide range of information and entertainment services, such as news, financial information, fashion, weather, sports, traffic updates and movie trailers.

Weibo Express, which is powered by Critical Path, enables users of the Sina WeiBo microblogging service, to receive updates directly to their mobile handsets and, in turn reply to those alerts via MMS mail.  The service supports most email services including yahoo.com.hk, ymail.com, gmail.com, and hotmail.com.

WeiBo Express is available for HK$8 per month and includes unlimited MMS Email alerts. Subscribers are also entitled to a two-month free trial upon subscription.
