More powerful anti-spam, whitelisting and new software-only packaging

Dublin, IRELAND – April 20, 2009 – Critical Path, Inc., a leading provider of messaging software and services, today announced the availability of Anti-Abuse 4.0, the newest version of its anti-abuse solution, part of the Memova® suite of applications and services from Critical Path. The new Anti-Abuse version offers a turn-key solution including carrier-grade anti-spam, anti-virus and traffic management capabilities and features the most efficient and intelligent traffic management in the industry.

Anti-Abuse 4.0 offers service providers significant advantages by reducing abuse-related costs, and detecting and stopping messaging threats with industry-low false-positive rates – regardless of the message's language or format. Anti-Abuse continues to build off its innovative technology and delivers high quality anti-abuse protection, making it easy for customers to implement and measure return on investment rapidly.

The new solution runs on a Linux-based platform and can be installed as an appliance or as a software-only bundle. The new software-only option provides customers with greater flexibility and scalability, and has new administrator controls to enhance reporting and analytics.
Ease of Deployment: Anti-Abuse 4.0 offers an updated platform with two robust offerings, Standard and Premium, to meet customer requirements. With Critical Path’s new software configuration, service providers can count on the reliability to easily deploy and ensure full functionality.

Value-Added Functionality: A new premium feature to the Memova portfolio is Personal Address Book Whitelisting. This feature enables contacts in subscriber’s address books to be whitelisted from spam filtering, thus ensuring fast delivery of messages that come from people that matter.
