Memova® suite of applications provide optimal converged experience for growing consumer demand

Paris, FRANCE, 6 July 2009 – Critical Path, Inc, a leading provider of messaging software and services, presents a new converged mobile messaging solution ideally designed for the needs of countries in emerging markets.

Over the next six years, around 80% of new mobile users are set to come from emerging markets. The sale of low cost mobile phones is expected to grow to 22% to reach 700 million phones by 2014, especially in Africa and the Middle East*. Operators and device manufacturers are increasingly looking to emerging markets to fuel future growth. The development of very low cost handsets and devices is critical to achieving this aim.

Critical Path offers Mobile Email, a push-mail solution part of its Memova® suite of applications and services, which converts email to SMS or MMS. This solution is very easy to use, works with all mobile phones and requires no software installation. It also offers users, the capability to create “black lists” and “white lists” -- the ability to define a list of senders from whom they wish to receive email (family, professional...), as well as protection against spam.

DEKOPIN, the Indonesia Cooperative has selected Critical Path’s Mobile solutions to provide its members email and information via their mobiles such as weather forecasts for fishermen or farmers and up-to-the-minute product pricing.

Critical Path’s Mobile Email solution is currently deployed by a number of operators in India, Vietnam, Pakistan and South America, it will soon be present in North Africa.
