TeleCable de Asturias Rolls Out Critical Path’s Memova® Platform for Convergent Messaging and Communication Services

Memova solutions, with powerful features and universal access allow TeleCable de Asturias to launch integrated messaging and communication services improving user experience

Dublin - Wednesday, 29^thApril 2010 - Critical Path, a leading provider of messaging software and services, has announced today that TeleCable de Asturias, the leading operator in the Asturias region of Spain, is using the Memova® Messaging platform from Critical Path to launch new value-added integrated messaging and convergent communication service to its customers. This new service offers a convergent experience and is the first of its kind in Spain to use Web 2.0 technology. Users will have access to a wide range of services including mail, contacts, calendar, synchronization, alerts, gigamail (sending of large files), my Web, my archives, multimedia, news and other services to be launched in the future.

In addition, TeleCable de Asturias will be able to offer greater protection against unwanted messages. Using Critical Path’s filtering technology, which can be integrated in the contact list, Telecable’s users will be able to establish “white” and “black” lists of contacts to control who can and can’t contact them. Users can create a closed and secure community of people with whom they wish to communicate.
