WIND Selects Critical Path’s Memova Anti-Abuse

Libero Webmail offers industry-leading protection against spam, viruses and other outbound email threats

TURIN, Italy – 19 February, 2009 – Critical Path, Inc., a leading provider of messaging software and services, today announced that Wind Telecomunicazioni S.p.A. (WIND) has selected Critical Path’s Memova® Anti-Abuse solution, integrated with Cloudmark Authority™, to protect its growing subscriber base from outbound email threats.

WIND, Italy’s leading operator of integrated fixed-mobile-Internet communications services, has launched a newly redesigned Libero Webmail experience powered by Critical Path’s Messaging solution and protected by the Anti-Abuse solution.

Libero, Italy’s number one email service provider hosts the country’s largest Internet community with about 11 million active members, offers an extensive range of content and services including search, news, sports, business, entertainment, blogs, dating, shopping and specialty channels.

With Memova Anti-Abuse C-2000, Libero now provides an enhanced experience for its users with superior outbound abuse protection preventing Libero customers from being blacklisted. The solution also significantly reduces WIND’s abuse-related costs, detecting and stopping messaging threats with industry-low false-positive rates – regardless of the message’s language or format. Plus, the integration with Cloudmark Authority, a carrier-grade gateway solution widely deployed in service provider networks around the world, adds powerful, flexible and easy-to-use features, such as real-time data feeds from the Cloudmark Collaborative Security Network Classifier, unique fingerprinting algorithm technology and a trust-based reporting system.
